A useful rescan compares the affected URL and specific finding under a similar scope. Record the change you made so you can explain what improved.
Save the original observation
Write down the page URL, audit scope, and finding. For a schema problem, save the parsing error. For missing content, identify a heading or sentence absent from the initial HTML. For discovery, record the page count and source. These observations let you check the actual problem after a deployment.
Use a small verification worksheet
Make the change in the website, publish it, and fetch the live URL. A successful local test does not establish that the production host serves the same result. Use a compact record when handing work between a developer and a site owner.
URL: https://your-site.example/services
Before: main heading absent from initial HTML
Change: prerendered the public services route
After: heading present in the live HTML response
Next check: rerun discovery and the same audit scopeExplain score and coverage changes separately
If the new scan finds more pages, the overall score may change because coverage changed. Check the original page’s finding before presenting the total as an improvement or regression. SiteReadyFor.SI stores audit reports you can compare manually; it does not currently generate an automatic historical diff or prove changes to search traffic.
